Our school, Bener Cordan Secondary School is in the center of Trabzon and opened in 2001.
It carries on educational service with 4 managers, 75 teachers, 112 pre-school and 1127 secondary school students (totally 1239 students) in the 2018-2019 educational year. There are 6 middle school students being educated in Private Education Subclass. Our school, which is bound to Ortahisar district is located in an easily accessible area, consists of two buildings. Our school has an actively usable area of 9140 m². The main building is 4 floors and has pre-school classes as well as 40 classrooms. Bener Cordan Secondary School, which is one of the favorite schools of Trabzon in a short time, although it is not an old school, aims to educate its students with the mission of preparing
a suitable environment to educate individuals who can lead with contemporary approaches having the responsibility of shaping the future with 21st Century skills and who have the values and morality
of Turkish society. Our school has all the physical qualifications required for this mission. Since the beginning of it’s educational service, it has been successful in projects and competitions in various
fields with its confident, evolving teacher staff and successful learners. In sports activities between schools in the province and inter-provinces, we have many medals and trophies. We have been awarded with White Flag and Blue Sky Green Leaf Flag and Traffic Friendly School Flag. The
"Children's Fruit Garden" project was completed on 28.05.2012. The Endless Blue Project, the Nutrition Friendly School Project and the Energy Efficient School Project are among the ongoing projects. Our school, which has been in the project exhibitions organized every year by Tubitak, took place with 27 projects in the exhibition of Tubitak 4006 project in May.. Our school participated in the project as an application school in the Regional Partnership project between Trabzon National
Education Directorate and Greece for 2 years between 2012-2014. We offer opportunity for both teachers and students to use technology in their lessons with its physical and hardware facilities.
Within the context of the Fatih project being conducted in Turkey, all the teachers in the school have completed "Use of Technology in Education" course face to face and "Interactive Classroom
Management" course. We use technology regularly in the lessons with experienced and open-minded teachers. Our IT Teacher is the contact person and the executive of this project and also the instructor of Fatih Project. In this context, she has been the instructor of 11 "Use of Technology in Education" course so far. The relevant person has been teaching in the field of coding in Computer Science and Coding Center for the education of talented students the last two years. He teaches at
school and at the coding center in the fields of electronic coding with arduino., c-language coding and block-based coding.
