108 Nikola Belovejdov Secondary School was established in 1972.Its patron Nikola Belovejdov takes his rightful place among the prominent figures of the April uprising, Bulgarian teachers, educators and public figures from the 19Th century, who were rightly called “Bulgarian national leaders”.
The school was renovated in 2012 subsidized by the European Regional Development Fund and by Sofia Municipality project “Implementation of investment activities to reduce energy consumption at school”. At 108 Secondary School study over 700 students in the following classes: -
1-12 grade ; - Admission after grade 7 –”Technological profile Entrepreneurship and Business” with intensive English language studying; The school syllabus is based on ‘Junior Achievement for
Bulgaria’ curricula. 108 Secondary School is a base school to Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski.”
The school works on international projects, projects to the Ministry of Education, Sofia Municipality and the local region “Iskar”. 108 Secondary School "Nikola Belovejdov" is located in Sofia, Sofia
municipality, district "Iskar". The school trained 700 students from class I to XII. Since first grade started language training in English, and from V to XII class second language is Spanish. The school trained students "Technological, Entrepreneurship and Business" with admission after VII and VIII after class. Held and intensive training in information technologies with additional classes compulsory, core subjects. The school has excellent facilities: offices in English and Spanish,
entrepreneurship and business and four computer labs with modern equipment. Our school took part in an European project “Embracing Europe” with 7 other countries, a lot of e-Twinning projects and
we won National Label of Quality for this project. The modern students and the Innovative schools like ours have a huge need to keep up with new technologies in order to feel citizen in the digital era. The need for new challenges to deal with many different innovations in the 21st century. In this project will take part the students between 12- 18 who spend much of their daily lives at the computer and mobiles. It helps to prepare young people for choosing the road of life to become worthy citizens using digital technologies. Using active educational methods, innovative sources, lego-robots and science knowledges, it will encourage active digital project.
